The Whiskered Screech-Owl is a tufted-eared small cavity nesting owl. It is similar to the Western Screech-Owl and shares some of the same habitat or close to it. It has some noticeable visual differences and different call notes. It is found from the southern borders of Arizona into Mexico and Central America.
