The Vaux's Swift is one of the smaller members of the swift family seen in North America. It is usually seen west of the Rocky Mountain range from California to British Columbia. These fast flying birds will nest in chimneys and gather together in chimneys, just before nightfall. Very much in the same manner as the Chimney Swift that is seen in the east.
