The Siberian Pipit was split from the American Pipit in the later part of 2024. It was also called the Japanese Pipit. At other times, it was known as the Buff-bellied Pipit. It is sometimes seen as a vagrant on the far western islands of the Aleutians and along the northwestern coast of the mailand of Alaska.
