The Pomarine Jaeger is the largest member of the jaeger family seen in North America. This large predator can be observed in three colour variations. They can be a dark morph, medium morph and a light morph. These seabirds nest on the northern tundra and on the arctic islands.

It was with this list that all the competing birders used in an attempt to set a new record as to how many bird species that could be seen by an individual birder in one calendar year.
