Lesser Goldfinch (Green-backed) is a sub-species or race of the Lesser Goldfinch. It is the most common of the two races, the Lesser Goldfinch (black-backed) is the other race. It is seen from southern regions of the state of Washington to the Baja Californian tip, eastward through to New Mexico.
