North American Bird Calls

This woodpecker is one of the smaller members of the North American woodpecker family. It is very similar to the Nuttall's Woodpecker, whose habitat is bordering the western boundaries of the Ladder-backed Woodpecker. This black and white bird can be seen from the eastern areas of California to eastern Texas as well as throughout Mexico.
