The Black-legged Kittiwake is a member of the gull and tern family. It is a common seabird seen along the eastern and western coasts of North America. It is also a common seabird seen in Europe. Large numbers of these kittiwakes can be seen on the cliffs in Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve, in Newfoundland and Labrador.
